Southwest Technologies Inc. was the first company to introduce glycerine technology in a polymer
matrix to the medical field under the trade name Elasto-Gel. All Elasto-Gel products
utilize this unique and versatile technology. Southwest Technologies manufactures a variety of
products including wound care, hot/cold therapy, pressure relief systems, custom/OEM and specialty products.
- Wound Care

Elasto-Gel wound care products are truly unique. Due to Elasto-Gels' patented high glycerine content, it is the
only product available that will help control factors that can inhibit the healing process, such as slough, debris, necrotic
tissue, excess exudate and eschar. In addition, Elasto-Gel will not stick to or dissolve into the wound, will not dry out
and is bacteriostatic/fungistatic. By controlling these factors, you not only reduce the time and expense it takes for a
wound to heal, you also assure a positive clinical outcome.
- Hot/Cold Therapy

Elasto-Gel Therapy products are made of a tough, flexible gel covered with a four-way stretch material, which
allows maximum conformity, heat transfer and comfort. A single product serves both hot or cold applications. Elasto-Gel
Therapy Products are available in over 40 different shapes and sizes for convenient application.
- Pressure Relief

Since 1983, Elasto-Gel has been successfully used as the major component in the Pressure relief products manufactured
by Southwest Technologies Inc. This resilient gel helps prevent friction, skin breakdown and retains its shape. When used
alone or combined with specialty foams and materials, Elasto-Gel pressure relief products assure effective, consistent
pressure relief by distributing pressure away from bony areas.
- Custom/OEM

The applications for Elasto-Gel are endless. Many companies have approached Southwest Technologies, Inc. to use
our gel specially tailored to meet their required properties and shapes. The advantages they see are the padding or pressure
relief characteristics of Elasto-Gel, shock absorption, hot/cold therapeutic properties, stability over a wide temperature
range and the unique capability of Elasto-Gel to mimic human tissue and body mass. Examples of present uses of Elasto-Gel
are radiation protection, gaskets, seat padding and body armor.
- Specialty Products

To compliment the wound care product lines, Southwest Technologies, Inc. markets and distributes several specialty
products. Finger Bobs, a cloth covering comprised of two rolled bandage rings, is ideal for holding a dressing in place on
fingers and toes. Finger Bobs stay in place, are comfortable to wear and are ready to apply. Sta-Fix Tape is a non-woven
polyester base tape with an open structure and coated with adhesive by a special process to produce a highly, breathable
tape. The hypo-allergenic adhesive of moderate strength gives a tape which will firmly hold in place, but will not damage
tissue on removal. Although breathable, Sta-Fix is nearly water proof.
