The Story of Toey
Summary:
My toenail was removed from my red highly swollen toe the last week of February 2002. I am a diabetic and the prediction by the doctors of serious infection and the need to amputate the toe or even the foot had me scared and concerned. The severe pain from the toenail removal forced me to seek something to reduce the pain. I found Elasto-Gel Toe-Aid products on the internet by searching on toe dressing. I called the company and was informed that the dressings were also bacteriostatic and fungistatic, which would help prevent and clear the infection, that they were a soft gel that would protect the wound and give pain relief. Being a very active person and an award winning gardener, who was running a business, planning a wedding coming in August and just basking in the joy of every day living, I couldn't afford to loose a toe, much less a foot. Following the suggestions of the manufacturer on how to use the Elasto-Gel, hydrolyzed collagen and glycerine, I was able to dance at the wedding in high heels and after 1.5 years my new toenail has been manicured and the toe is doing well, still firmly attached to my healthy foot.
